Overview
The YD-880 Environmental X/Gamma Radiation Monitoring System employs an energy-compensated GM counter (or scintillator) as its radiation sensor, delivering high sensitivity and excellent measurement stability for precise γ-ray and X-ray detection. It integrates a high-speed microprocessor with a 3.5-inch color touchscreen LCD, enabling streamlined and user-friendly operation. A built-in TCP/IP Ethernet communication port allows the system to be easily configured as an independent local area network or connected to a cloud platform for remote data management.
Features
- High-performance embedded microprocessor delivers real-time responsiveness for monitoring data and system status;
- 3.5-inch color touchscreen LCD (customizable to 7-inch, 8-inch, or other sizes upon request) with an intuitive operator interface, designed for rapid familiarization and effortless handling;
- Built-in TCP/IP Ethernet port supporting 10/100 Mbps transmission rates, simplifying network integration and multi-unit deployment;
- Automatic accumulated dose recording with non-volatile onboard storage — data preserved during power outages; alarm logs accessible for manual review;
- User-definable alarm setpoints for both dose rate and accumulated dose;
- Detector unit stores up to 4,000 alarm data records;
- Over-threshold audible alarm, short dead time, and robust performance under high dose rate conditions;
- Onboard real-time clock displaying year, month, and date; clock operation unaffected by power interruption.
Applications
Suited for X and γ radiation environment monitoring and radiological protection surveys across a broad range of sectors, including: medical facilities, CDC, environmental protection agencies, metallurgy, petroleum and petrochemical, chemical industry, radiological laboratories, industrial NDT radiography, radiation processing, mining operations, and other settings where radiation surveillance is mandated.
