Overview
The YD-800 X/Gamma Online Radiation Alarm Monitor is a continuous radiation monitoring instrument designed for real-time measurement of X-ray and γ-ray radiation fields. It features a high-speed embedded microprocessor paired with a 7-inch IPS LCD touchscreen (1024×600), delivering both real-time monitoring capability with rapid response and a streamlined, user-friendly operator experience. The host unit communicates with detector probes via reliable RS485 connectivity, enabling real-time display of the individual dose rate reading of each connected probe, along with its current operational status (Normal / Disconnected / Over-Range). An optional supervisory Area Radiation Monitoring System software package is available upon project-specific requirements.
Performance Features
- High-speed embedded microprocessor ensures real-time data acquisition and status update.
- 7-inch 1024×600 IPS LCD color touchscreen with an intuitive operator interface designed for ease of use and minimal training.
- Selectable dose rate units — user-switchable between µGy/h and µSv/h.
- Multi-probe architecture — one host supports connection of multiple detector probes, with four channels as standard (expandable to 30+ channels).
- Automatic probe recognition (plug-and-play) for convenient field probe replacement by personnel.
- Continuously adjustable alarm thresholds across the full measurement range (factory default: high threshold 25 µGy/h, low threshold 0.0 µGy/h).
- Real-time probe status indication — Normal / Alarm / Over-Range / Disconnected.
- Multiple alarm modalities — standard audible and visual alarm; expandable to external alarm unit and relay switch contact output.
- Dual alarm mode per probe (high alarm / low alarm), providing flexible configuration for diverse radiological safety scenarios.
- Automatic threshold alarm logging with non-volatile onboard storage — data retained during power loss; alarm history can be manually retrieved.
- Integrated real-time clock (RTC) displaying year, month, and date; operation unaffected by mains power interruption.
- Communication interface: standard RS485, supporting transmission distances up to 800 metres.
- Optional built-in battery for in-vehicle mobile monitoring and applications with unstable mains power supply.
- Custom development available upon request.
