Overview
The Continuous Radon Monitor is a multi-functional instrument designed for real-time, continuous, and online monitoring of radon gas concentration. It features a structurally advantageous design and can be used for radon measurement in underground works, mine tunnels, tourist caves, nuclear facilities, associated uranium series environments, and indoor spaces. It is an essential device for locating radon sources. The instrument provides results instantly, is simple to operate, easy to carry, and is well suited for large-scale radon level surveys.
Specifications
- Detector: Semiconductor detector – compact size, fast response, and insensitive to gamma radiation.
- Instrument background: ≤3 cpm
- Sensitivity: Approx. 1.1 × 10⁻³ cps/(Bq/m³) (radon)
- Detection efficiency for ²³⁹Pu α surface source: 35% (2π)
- Count capacity: 99,999,999
- Measurement range: 2 – 1 × 10⁶ Bq/m³ (radon concentration)
- Measurement interval: Default continuous radon measurement mode – 30 minutes. Upon power‑on, the pump starts automatically, data are collected for 30 minutes, and results are provided at the end of the cycle. The measurement time for a single radon measurement can be set by the user according to the radon level.
- High degree of automation: Parameters can be reconfigured; results are displayed automatically and provided instantly. The instrument can store approximately 1,000 data points internally, and historical results can be queried.
- Data export: Data can be copied via USB flash drive for subsequent offline analysis, storage, and printing, or uploaded to a central control system via TCP/IP communication.
- User interface: Embedded operating system with touch screen – intuitive interface and easy operation.
